He's pink, friendly, and a starfish. Who is it? Patrick Star of course. Patrick is SpongeBob's best friend. These best buddies are about the same age. Patrick may not be bright since starfish are said to lack brains and Patrick normally lives up to that image, except that sometimes Patrick does have genius ideas, according to SpongeBob.
Patrick is a huge fan of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, his two favorite tv superheroes. Patrick likes to eat ice cream and cheese. One of the most difficult experiences of Patrick's life was when he had to open a jar in order to copy SpongeBob. In the end he was able to pull it off thanks to Spongebob's instructions and Patricks hard work.
Bikini Bottom is home for Patrick. He lives at 120 Conch Street- only two doors down from his best friend. Like most starfish, he sleeps on the ceiling (although he is shown sleeping in a bed in at least one episode). When he isn't jellyfishing, or adventuring with his friends, he's sleeping under his rock. Then after a brief rest, he's up at 3 am on his way to the Krusty Krab for a snack.
Patrick Star is a big fan of the underwater Rock band, "Stingray 5000". Patrick once had a massive I.Q. after he fell off of a cliff and one time he made a three-dimensional model of DNA out of snow when asked to make a simple snowball. The inside of Patrick Star's rock home constantly changes from episode to episode. Patrick Star's eyebrows have changed during the course of the series. In Season 1 and a few episodes of season 2, they were shown as squiggles. After that, they became noticeably thicker.
